I have been working in the company for almost a decade now. I had started as a simple accounting clerk and I had been on the same position for four years. Fortunately, with my excellent performance in accounting department, I was then promoted to junior account executive after four years. I have been handling the same position for six years now and I believe that I deserve a higher position in the company.

This letter is to formally request for promotion to senior account executive as our senior account executive will be retiring in a couple of months from now.
